Equestrian Education

Equestrian education for the primary level is made up of our usual animal care, which is an important part of the school day at our school thanks to our collaboration with the Zachhiesenhof organic farm.
Almost ecery child enjoys spending time with the ponies and horses. This attraction between a small child and a large animal satisfies the need to nurture and care for something bigger than just themselves.
The two riding areas allow the children to work with the ponies and horses during their afternoon sessions, and they are also able to use the riding paths in the forest and fields. A trail is currently being worked on where the horses can be trained on the grounds.
Due to demand, as well as the positive experience with regards to confidence, coordination, physicality, courage and personal development, we also offer equestrian education to children outside our school.
This offer focusses on building a relationship between children and horses, and does not teach riding as a sport.
Valuable Time for All
Time for a relationship with the animal, for being together, for experiencing, feeling and acknowledging.

Time for care, for developing an understanding of horses, and for proper handling.

Time to build up a friendship full of trust and respect.
Through ground work, play, clearly following and leading, the children consciously learn to use their bodies as an instrument of communication.
Time for riding with and without a saddle. Being in harmony with the horse’s movements encourages physical and mental balance.
