Animal Care

The school is glad of its close relationship to the Zachhiesenhof farm.
The many facets of the Zachhiesenhof mean that each individual child can have contact to a range of different animals that suit their needs.
The Zachhiesenhof farm is an ARCHE farm with traditional farmyard animals. It practices dairy farming with Tyrolean grey cattle, and Pinzgau goats, ducks, chickens and doves all live at the farm.
Children and young people spend time with the animals under expert guidance, and can either spend the occasional hour at the farm or take part in work experience placements over several weeks. Children always want to help with stall work, feeding and caring for the animals.
Master farmer Josef Öschlberger and his staff are to thank for this flexible opportunity to meet the needs of each individual child.
